Caped The Burdens of Fate Kerron Streater Books

This book was interesting in that it definitely comes at the superhero thing from a different angle. I hate to say "realistic," but the author definitely tries to ask the question "What happens if x, y, and z occur," and then proceeds to answer it as honestly as possible.
What I liked about this book was, again, was how it came at it from the angle of the diaries of these people with superpowers. It's a lot of unfiltered, honest opinions. Kind of like the way comic books use a lot of internal monologue. The characters and their separate powers were really cool, as were the ways they utilize them throughout the book. I also loved the conspiracy and intrigue angle.
What I disliked about this book, ironically enough, were also things I disliked. There were too many characters that didn't feel dissimilar to each other. Much of the talk about conspiracy and intrigue gets laced in throughout the book so often that I forget who is talking, and the chapters jump around a great deal. It is also written strangely in parts, as in the grammar usage makes it a bit confusing as to who's doing what.
Still a great read, and I commend the author for taking a different approach to a lot of things. That's a challenge that a lot of writers don't even bother with. But Mr. Streater does.

Caped The Burdens of Fate Kerron Streater Books Reviews

Mr. Streater creates a world wholly likely yet full of imaginative nuance seen through the eyes of his characters. He paints both "good" and "evil" with such personal touches that the reader can't help but love and empathize with all of them. "Caped the Burdens of Fate" raises interesting questions about superhuman abilities, human trust, and even our current societal status quo. It's a tumbling thrill ride of an adventure and I can't wait for the next installment!
I enjoyed reading this book. The story is told through the eyes of a number of different characters and from a number of different view points. This choice of how to tell the story I found to be daring. There were some great challenges facing the author in regards to telling the story from so many different perspectives, and even though at times I felt myself lost or confused, I would eventually come around and understand what the author was describing. The book was full of great action scenes and gave great perspective to each individual character and there development. All in all I enjoyed my journey with the characters and was left wanting more. The author has a great grasp on the ideals of getting a reader engaged and caring about what happens to the characters. Do yourself a favor and get this book and be prepared for some great amateur SciFi/Fantasy reading!
"Caped" will capture your imagination and show you a different side of the superhero mindset. It depicts the inner struggles of the heros, how it isn's always an easy decision to do the right thing. And how not all enemies are bad guys but misinformed. He shows that good and evil is not as simple as black and white but also an abundance of grey area as well.
I loved this book. Once I started reading it was hard to put down. If you liked the TV show "Heroes" you'll like this. This book has a lot going for it, great action and fight scenes, dramatic events and complex characters. It's written from a first person perspective, excerpts from the characters journals, which took a little getting used to but once I did it was really enjoyable.
Mr. Streater's words vividly bring to life his world of characters, real and otherwise. I loved everything about it. Great job for a first-time author.
This is a book that definitely tugs at your inner kid and then at your inner conspiracy theorist. His characters are gripping and they lead the narrative very well. The action in this book is gripping and exciting and while reading this book you can almost see each hit and each blow. This is not a long drawn out book either, Streater gives you excitement and tension very early. I recommend this book for anyone who likes the Heroes series, or X-Men, or The Civil War Series. You will definitely be pleased and want to know whats next in the series.
